Every six years, the sun protection industry has the opportunity to show off twice at springtime with the world's leading trade fair R+T and Fensterbau Frontale. The double trade fair is always an outstanding and demanding industry event. For Geiger it had a very special meaning this year. Because we wanted to make your visit to our stand an unforgettable experience.
That's why we had several premieres: Strong corporate identity in a completely new look. Highly innovative products for the sun protection of the future. Unique concept that combines sun protection and automation in an interactive space.
Relax on your sofa and let the sun protection work for you? In the Geiger living rooms, our entire AIR product family showed that sun protection can be incredibly comfortable, energy-efficient and safe. With the connection into the Smart Home system from Loxone, our guests experienced live and realistic situations such as shade-dependent lighting control in all feel-good colours, security functions such as fire and burglary alarms or party scenes.
Or escape through the window in a simulated emergency situation? Our new patented rolling shutter system SpeedRESCUE, the fastest system on the market, proved to be an absolutely reliable lifesaver in an emergency.
The many new guests, the record number of visitors at the Geiger stand and the enthusiastic feedback across the entire industry exceeded all our expectations. Our unique and eye-catching exhibition space over 330 m2 was a complete success. Over 40 staff members were present at the stand to discuss, advise and introduce our new products. Our guests could also relax by the pool with delicious barbecue specialities and exclusive cocktails. Or from the gallery, they could recharge not only their smartphones but also their own batteries under the pergola.
The R+T Smart Home Forum of the German Rolling Shutter + Sun Protection Association, sponsored by Geiger among others, also provided exciting information. With two Geiger lectures on energy efficiency and comfort in Loxone Smart Home, we were able to arouse the audience's curiosity and stimulate lively discussions among the guests. Because it is always fascinating to see how a sun protection system works autonomously in a Loxone Smart Home and how it is networked with the rest of the building technology. An intelligent house of this type saves about 50.000 operations per year and acts according to the daily routine and presence of its residents while also taking into account the weather and the seasons. This means maximum comfort, high energy efficiency and noticeable safety without even having to think about it.
